Long Road Home
In 2001, William Barnewitz, principal French Horn player with the Milwaukee Symphony Orchestra, was diagnosed with Parkinson disease. As a way to raise funds for research and education, he has coordinated a recording project titled The Long Road Home that includes music of Bach, Brahms, Schubert, Strauss and Kreutzer. Support our cause and purchase this cd today by contacting the WPA office at 414-219-7060. $17each

Mission Statement
The Wisconsin Parkinson Association (WPA) is a regional nonprofit organization assisting
people who are affected by Parkinson disease.

As a Care Center with the National Parkinson Foundation, the Regional Parkinson
Center is a part of a nationwide effort to provide information and resources about Parkinson
disease, to enhance public education and awareness of the disease and to support research
for a cure.

The WPA feels that education and support at a grass roots level is essential. The WPA
develops and maintains local support and educational programs in our region, providing
literature, videotaped educational material and a speaker’s bureau for our support programs.
The Board of Directors for the WPA provides direction for long range goals and fund-raising
activities in support of expanded services.

There are many community Support Groups which are designed to meet the needs of people
with Parkinson disease and their caregivers and families.

WPA Support Groups are developed and maintained throughout Wisconsin, Illinois, Iowa
and Indiana.
